Plaza Garibaldi, is owned and operated by Feliberto Mendoza, most commonly know as “Beto”. Beto is from a small town in Jalisco Mexico named Mazamitla. From a young age he realized that he wanted to do something special when he grew up, so when he came to the United States, he dabbled in many different jobs. It wasn’t until he started working in a famous Italian restaurant in White Plains, New York that he found his true calling.
Today, more than 15 years later, Beto has his own restaurant, Plaza Garibaldi, in Waterford, Michigan and enjoys every minute. He wakes up every day with new ideas and new recipes for the customers to enjoy.
Beto embraces his customers and is always open to comments and suggestions. As the restaurants slogan states “welcome amigos a su casa” meaning welcome home friends, it is important for Beto that his customers feel at home when they visit Plaza Garibaldi, offering good food, good company and an overall good time.
